Lizzo Lawsuit

Amid a wave of controversy, allegations of a hostile workplace environment, weight shaming, and sexual harassment surfaced from the backup dancers of Lizzo.

During an interview on Good Morning America in August 2023, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez made headlines by accusing the pop star of being "fat-phobic." They expressed disappointment in the singer's response to their legal action, labeling it hypocritical and likening it to a punch.

"I know it's alarming to hear that Lizzo, a plus-size woman who preaches body positivity, would be fat-phobic, essentially. But I want to challenge people to understand that hurt people hurt people."

In light of Lizzo's recent response denying the accusations against her, Davis felt blindsided by her words, describing the post as a striking blow.

In a legal claim, Arianna, Crystal, and Noelle have alleged that the Grammy award winner, along with Shirlene Quigley, the leader of the Big Grrrl Big Touring and dance team, fostered an atmosphere that was deemed "sexually charged and uncomfortable" by the accusers.
