Recently, Travis Kelce made news when he said he can't help but wonder why he ended up dating Taylor Swift.

With his brother and co-host Jason Kelce, the NFL player waxed poetic on the course of his life since beginning his public relationship with the pop star in the most recent episode of their podcast, New Heights.

He then said given how Taylor Swift did not like sports - it's weird that they ended up dating.

Travis Kelce Wonders About Taylor Swift Romance

"I'm having a blast in life, baby, just flying high, enjoying it all, bringing new lives to the football world," he replied to rapper and comedian Lil Dicky, who asked Kelce about how life has changed since the relationship.

He then said it's a big mystery to him why Swift suddenly had an interest in him when she was not into sports, and Kelce is all about playing football. "I don't know how I did it because she wasn't into sports," he said, acknowledging that Swift wasn't a sports enthusiast before they started dating.

"So I don't know how the f--- I did it," the athlete added.

While this sounds romantic to some Swifties, others suggest that Swift is just acting, which is a red flag. Some said they cringe to think of her as another girl pretending to love something just to get a guy's attention.

One day, when she wakes up and can no longer act interested in the sports, what will happen to their relationship?

Ever since they started dating, there have been rumors that Taylor Swift is paid to date Travis Kelce to boost NFL numbers.

Kelce's sudden admission about Swift not liking sports just brought these allegations to the fore once more.

Some responded that both of them are acting -- because this is all a business relationship.

Many though took time to defend Swift, saying there's nothing weird about a woman suddenly discovering she loves something when she may not have experienced or understood it before.

Some said their own romances started that way!

Anyway, haters gonna hate, it seems. But As Lil Dicky put it in the New Heights podcast, it's not cool to hate on people's love lives.

"Honestly, my take on it, not that you want to spend time talking about it for the five thousandth time, but I just think there is something that makes everyone feel like the world is kind of like high school, where the most popular popstar and beloved musician somehow met the most popular beloved athlete and they actually fell in love and it's just real," he said.

"Anyone who hates on it is a bitter loser, but I think a lot of people who you would maybe expect to hate on it, love it, and they acknowledge they love it because it's just so -- there is something so American about it ...There is something classic about it," he added.
