The first two days of Coachella have been great, based on social media reception, as many fans celebrated their favorite artists performing on their respective sets in Indio, CA. However, Grimes faced a massive problem, as she suffered from technical difficulties while performing.

According to Consequence, the experimental pop singer performed on the Sahara stage for her 50-minute DJ set. Unfortunately, while she was in the middle of her performance, the music immediately cut, and she had no choice but to start her song "Music 4 Machines" all over again.

Grimes didn't recover from the technical error quickly. She had to reset the song several times, as there were moments when it was sped up.

"This is a difficult thing to explain but we're having a major technical error... Don't judge me for being bad a calculating things," she told her fans.

She added that her tracks were double tempo and couldn't do the math.

Grimes Apologizes to Fans Online

Following her set, the musician took to her official X account, formerly known as Twitter, to express her apologies to her supporters and explain what truly happened that evening.

"I want to apologize for the technical issues with the show tonight. I wanted to come back rly strong and usually I always handle every aspect of my show myself - to save time this was one of the first times I've outsourced essential things like rekordbox bpm's and letting someone else organize the tracks on the sd card etc.," she explained.

Since the musician will return next weekend for another set, she promised to personally organize all the files and not let any technical difficulties happen again.

Grimes added that she spent months working on her set for the show, whether they be visuals or the music used, and she's not in the best mood following her failed performance.

Later, she promised her supporters that her next set would be "flawless."

Not The First Time Grimes Had Technical Difficulties

This was not the first time Grimes experienced technical difficulties, as she had the same problem when she performed at the Ceremonia Festival in Mexico City last month.

As a fan pointed out on social media, the singer lost control over the BPM and then apologized to her fans.

Before the show, she told her followers she would play new music and explained that they were not yet finished and would be "messy."
