Jimmie  Allen, who recently welcomed a new child from another woman, regrets how he treated his ex-wife, Alexis Gale. He said marrying Gale in the first place probably was not a good idea.

Jimmie Allen Regrets Cheating on Ex-Wife

Speaking to Kathie Lee Gifford, Allen confessed his innermost thoughts about his relationship with his ex-wife.

He admitted that he wasn't ready for marriage when he met Gale, but he felt pressured by the people around him at the time.

"When I got married, I knew I wasn't ready to be a husband," Allen told the show host. "But I was at this point in my life where it felt like I should do that because I heard constantly, 'You should be married, you should be this.'"

Allen explained that because his own family knew Gale's family, it was quite easy for him to jump into committing to her. Allen said he wishes he had taken more time to date other people, realizing that he was not yet ready to commit to Gale.

"Prioritizing my wife's needs over my career -- I wasn't in a place to do that, and I felt like I wasn't in a place for faithfulness either," he confessed. "I never really had the dream to be a husband. I feel like [being honest] would've saved her heartbreak and saved her time, and she could've had the opportunity then to go find someone for her."

In March, Allen announced that he welcomed twins with another woman. Gale and Allen divorced before the scandalous lawsuits against the latter emerged, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the cause of their breakup.

Jimmie Allen Sued by Former Manager

According to a woman who formerly worked as Allen's manager (who was not named), she was "manipulated and groomed by Allen into an abusive sexual relationship," Billboard reported.

The alleged abuse began when she was with Allen in Los Angeles when the singer was invited to become a celebrity guest on American Idol.

She also claimed that she was "incapacitated and incapable of giving consent" during a sexual encounter they had, and she "lost consciousness and awoke naked in her hotel room several hours later, with Jimmie Allen insisting she take Plan B as soon as possible."

A Variety report revealed that one of the two alleged victims of Jimmie Allen's sexual harassment and sexual assault has written to a judge to dismiss Allen's involvement in the case.
