Is there still a rift between former flames Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn?
Insiders reveal that communication between the singer and her ex has been nonexistent since the debut of the singer's latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, supposedly containing songs that may be aimed at the British star.
According to a source who spoke to ET, "[Swift] and [Alwyn] are not in touch at this point, but they try to be respectful of one another."
The ex-pair dated for six years before their split was revealed in April 2023.
"[Alwyn] wants to keep his personal life private. He is more introverted, and the interest in his personal life is a bit overwhelming to him. He is focused on acting and his career."
The Mary Queen of Scots actor is set to make his next appearance in the upcoming anthology film Kinds of Kindness by director Yorgos Lanthimos.
Meanwhile, Swift has found new love with NFL star Travis Kelce.
"[Swift] is happier than ever in her relationship with Travis and is focused on the future," the source added.

Further insights shared by sources indicate Alwyn's response to the new songs, which are believed to depict the end of their relationship.
Per the source, there was no indication that the 14-time Grammy winner had consulted him about these songs, nor was there any expectation for her to do so.
Since the breakup, Alwyn reportedly have not had any communication with Swift at all.
"[Alwyn] has listened to the album, and he is slightly disappointed but not surprised at all," the insider revealed.
"She didn't really trash him or defame him. [Alwyn] is not going to react to this. [Swift] draws on her relationships for almost all her songs, and he admires her artistry."
During their romance, Alwyn collaborated with Swift on songwriting projects using the alias William Bowery, resulting in a welcome increase in his financial earnings.
The source claimed, "He has made a ton of money off the six songs that he wrote for [Swift] in the past and he is grateful that their relationship also helped to make him a household name."
In preparation for the press tour of his upcoming film alongside Emma Stone, he has made it clear that he will not be addressing any inquiries related to his famous pop star girlfriend.
"His primary focus is on promoting the movie. While he will engage with the media during press events, questions about [Swift] will not be entertained," the insider disclosed. "[Alwyn] is looking forward and has no resentment towards her actions. He understands that it's all part of the business."
