Fans have dubbed Rihanna the queen of the Met Gala because she consistently delivers extravagant outfits to the annual fashion event. However, fans should not expect grand garments from the singer as she gave a hint about her style for 2024.

The musician recently attended the launch of her new Fenty Beauty Soft'lit Foundation in Los Angeles, CA. In an interview with Extra, she teased her supporters about the outfit she would wear on the first Monday of May.

"I'm actually keeping it real simple this year. ... It's gonna come to what my makeup and what my hair is going to do," she said.

When asked about her outfit's style, she said it would be "Very simple-ish... compared to everything I have done."

In a separate interview, she also noted that her outfit for this year would feature all of her brands, like Fenty Beauty, Fenty Skin, and Fenty Savage.

What is the Met Gala's Theme for 2024?

According to People magazine, the annual event held in New York City every first Monday of May is a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of Vogue, has been in charge of the Met Gala since 1995, when she was appointed chair member.

The theme for this year is "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion," and in addition to the massive red carpet event, there will be an exhibit featuring 250 items from different periods of time.

The Met Gala dress code for 2024 would be "The Garden of Time," inspired by a short story by J.G. Ballard, released in 1962.

Fans should expect some of the biggest names in Hollywood and the music industry to be gathered in one massive fashion event, including co-chairs Zendaya, Chris Hemsworth, Jennifer Lopez, and Bad Bunny.

Rihanna's Biggest Met Gala Fashion Moments

In an interview, the musician revealed that one of her most significant Met Gala fashion moments would be the massive yellow gown by Guo Pei that she paraded in 2015.

"Nobody will ever forget that and I will never forget the feeling of discovering that designer based off of the design challenge that Anna gave me," she declared.

Her other memorable outfits through the years were her pope-inspired bedazzled look by John Galliano for Maison Margiela in 2018, her Rei Kawakubo Commes des Garçons dress, and her Dolce & Gabbana suit in 2009.
