Swift is basking on the success of her most recent album release, The Tortured Poets Department. With a historic debut on the chart, Swift is "fired up" to get back on the road and celebrate the success with her fans.

Swift is set to return to The Eras Tour on May 9, 2024, after a month-long rest from her Asian and Australian tours.

Taylor Swift 'Fired Up' To Return To The Eras Tour

After Billboard announced that Swift's The Tortured Poets Department raked in 2.61 million album units in its opening week frame in the United States, the singer took to social media to express her happiness and shock with the eye-popping figures.

"My mind is blown. I'm completely floored by the love you've shown this album. 2.6 million ARE YOU ACTUALLY SERIOUS?? Thank you for listening, streaming, and welcoming Tortured Poets into your life. Feeling completely overwhelmed," she captioned a carousel of photos on Instagram.

The carousel included photos of her in the recording studio with Post Malone and Florence Welch, two artists who were featured in The Tortured Poets Department. Malone appeared on "Fortnight," while Welch lent vocals and co-wrote "Florida!!!" with Swift.

Apart from her being floored on the numbers that her album yielded on its opening week frame, the success of the album seemed to have fueled her to get back on tour.

"I was already so fired up to get back to the tour but you doing THIS?? May 9th can't come soon enough," she confessed.

Swift ended the Asian tour leg of The Eras Tour last Mar. 9, 2024, at the National Stadium in Singapore. She had a six-day show in the country, catering to the whole Southeast Asian region and other nearby regions.
