Billie Eilish’s New Tour Features a Massive Change From Past Concerts

Billie Eilish is going back out on tour like you've never seen her before.

The singer is slated to head out on a new tour supporting her upcoming album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, which will be released on Friday, May 14. The tour is set to kick off in September and it's already a major departure from what we've seen the "What Was I Made For?" singer accomplish in the past.

The tour will feature a stage in the round, with Eilish performing on a rectangular stage while the audience completely surrounds her. This marks her first 360-degree view tour, with no backstage or curtains to hide behind.

The stage setting has been used by artists like Zach Bryan, Drake, and Harry Styles. Taylor Swift's canceled LoverFest was set to be a similar set up, with the stage shaped like a heart while the audience would have completely surrounded her.

Since Eilish is performing on the rectangle-shaped stage, the floor section of the concert is bigger than ever before. Tickets are also available for the complete circumference of the venue, avoiding seats behind the stage where audiences would not be able to see Eilish performing.

Hit Me Hard and Soft: the Tour launches on Sept. 29 in Quebec, playing throughout North America for the rest of 2024. She will then travel to Australia in February, before playing arenas in Europe, the U.K., and Ireland in April. The tour wraps up in Dublin in late July. The trek includes a three-night run at Madison Square Garden in New York City, as well as three dates at the Khia Forum in California.

Tickets will go on sale April 30, with a special presale for American Express members. Following a series of other exclusive sales, tickets will be available to the general public on Friday, May 3. In order to combat bots and scalpers, the concert is participating in Ticketmaster's Face Value Exchange program, where tickets will only be available for resale for their original price.

Since Eilish is committed to living a sustainable lifestyle, the tour will donate a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales in North America to REVERB. Venues have also committed to lessening the environmental footprint of the tour by diverting landfill waste with compost and recycling and offering plant-based food at every show.

Fans are also requested to carpool or take public transportation to arrive at the concert. They are recommended to bring an empty reusable water bottle or donate for a custom RockNRefill Nalgene bottle to fill up at the free water refill stations located at each venue.
