It looks as if Arnold Schwarzenegger is fulfilling his promise to promote the upcoming South Indian film I, because The Expendables star just attended the film's launch event, according to Billboard.

I was composed by A.R. Rahman, whose work includes the ever so popular Slumdog Millionaire. The film's album is being released by Sony Music India.

The actor/politician made an appearance at the launch in the South Indian city of Chennai, which took place this past Monday evening. He reportedly shared the stage with I stars Vikram and British actress Amy Jackson along with the film's director, Shankar.

Though the former Governor of California is not in the movie, it's been said that he was approached by I's producers and asked to promote the film, largely due to the fact that the lead character is into bodybuilding –– as Schwarzenegger has been throughout his entire career.

He recently praised the soundtrack for the film via a YouTube video uploaded by Sony Music India.

"Hello, India. I want to congratulate a great director, Mr. Shankar, for directing the movie I," he says in the below video. "It's a spectacular movie with a lot of visual effects, and I will be coming over there to India to celebrate the grand launch of the audio of I. It's going to be a spectacular event."

Billboard notes that his recent trip to India was his second after attending a conference on sustainable energy back in 2012.
