Justin Bieber has announced that his wife, Hailey, is pregnant with their first child.
The Biebers married in 2018 after dating on and off for several years throughout the 2010s.
Recently, rumors were swirling that the two were heading towards divorce. In April, as a response to the whispers that she and Justin were going through a rough patch, Hailey posted, "I know it may be fun feeding into these stories but just know they're always false. xx sorry to spoil it."
Today (May 9), Justin posted some sweet photos and a video to Instagram that further suggest the rumor mill shouldn't be trusted.
Justin shared a slideshow of content featuring several photos of Hailey dressed in a long, lacy white dress. Some of the shots are black and white with Hailey, a model, posing skillfully for the camera. Standing in front of a man sporting a suit, the two appear to be renewing their vows. They're beaming at each other before entering a tight embrace.
The video, which is filmed in a retro style, shows the two hugging and kissing, with Hailey holding a small bouquet of flowers and sporting a lacy white veil along with a pair of sunglasses. She puts her hand to her stomach as the camera zooms in; the camera also pays close attention to her shiny wedding ring. The couple are in an open field, seemingly far from the chaos and smog of Los Angeles.
Social media blew up after Justin shared his Instagram post around 3:30 p.m. ET. He also posted the clip to his Instagram story, ensuring that his social media followers saw the exciting news.
"HAILEY," in all capitals, began to trend on X.
Some users took the positive announcement as an opportunity to poke fun at Justin's ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez.
"Hailey & Justin expecting a baby...someone check on Selena QUICK," posted one user. Another wrote that they will be "protecting" the Bieber baby from "Jelenators," who are fans of Gomez and Justin's previous relationship.
Gomez is currently dating producer Benny Blanco.
However, most netizens rejoiced at the Biebers' exciting news.
"A BABY BIEBER OMGGGG IM SO HAPPY CONGRATULATIONS JUSTIN AND HAILEY BIEBER," posted one ecstatic fan.
Even MTV's X account chimed in, also writing in all capital letters: "JUSTIN & HAILEY BIEBER ARE HAVING A BABY!!! I AM NOT OKAY!!!!!!" In fact, most posts on X appeared to be written in all capitals, with users bursting with excitement for the Biebers.
Another X user wrote that they were "screaming, crying, throwing up" at the news that Hailey is pregnant.
One Instagram user commented, "My childhood is officially over," and attached a happy crying emoji.
