Tom Cruise is so closely connected to the Church of Scientology that it's almost unimaginable to think that any of his kids would dare to break away from the group in search of anything else. Apparently Tom's son, Connor Cruise has decided to do exactly that. The 19-year old occasional DJ is currently on a "spiritual journey" in the desert doing some serious soul-searching. Sources say that he has already distanced himself from Scientology and a permanent break could be coming once he returns home to the states.
This is actually a huge quest for Connor, with possibly devastating results if he should decide to leave the church in favor of something else. Scientologists' often shun those that turn away from the organization and Cruise appears to have done that with his two most recent ex wives, Katie Holmes and Connor's adoptive mother, Nicole Kidman. Connor recently spoke about his relationship with his mother, saying that things are good, but for years he and his sister, Isabella Cruise were both given only limited access to Nicole.
Connor Cruise posted a photo of himself earlier this week that was taken in Morocco. His Instagram caption read, "#Simplicity#Africa#Morocco#Kasbah." indicating that the younger Cruise may just be finding some of that inner peace and spiritual awakening that he is obviously searching for. The question is whether or not it will include leaving the church that his father loves so much.
