Despite your feelings towards him, it looks like pop star Austin Mahone isn't going anywhere. Who said so? Well, him.

Speaking to USA Today, Mahone lets fans and naysayers in on a little fact: he's planning on sticking around for quite a while. The young "Shadow" singer tells the publication that he's 100% focused on his career, regardless of his age.

"Whenever people see me, I'm a young dude and I sing, and I feel like they're just like, 'Oh, there's just another teen pop star. He's going to have a few songs.'"

The singer, who celebrated his debut EP this past summer, The Secret, added, "But I want to be more than that. I want to grow, I want to challenge myself to be better and to be different."

He ended the subject with, "I want people to know I'm in it for the long run, so you better get used to me."

The pop star just finished wrapping up the last leg of his 26-city US tour, which lasted about three months. He also recently performed before this past Sunday's NASCAR race at the Chicagoland Speedway. And according to the report, the singer isn't much of a racecar fan, but that didn't stop the crowd from enjoying his performance –– which was apparently largely made up of teenage girls.

On his performance at the Speedway, Mahone notes, "I think it works both ways, you know? The dads bring their daughters to the NASCAR race because I'm performing, and then they watch the racing afterward and maybe they'll get into it. But it's the same thing for me – I come to the NASCAR event, the daughters bring their dads and I get to make new fans."

So, how many dads out there are now rockin' some Mahone in their ear buds?
