One Direction is getting ready to "Steal My Girl" for next week, but the insanely famous English boy band is already teasing its Directioners fans ahead of the release date. Today (Sept. 22), 1D released a 19-second snippet of the lead single from its new album FOUR, showing off the song's presumed easy, breezy chorus.

"I know, I know, I know for sure / Everybody want to steal my girl / Everybody want to take her heart away / Couple million in the whole wide world / Find another one 'cause she belongs to me," the five-piece sings in nearly perfect harmony in the hopeful, mid-tempo chorus.

Musically consisting of an epic piano melody and a chorus of handclaps to keep the beat, "Steal My Girl" makes it seem like those sugary sweet days of "What Makes You Beautiful" and "Kiss You" are long, long gone.

Continuing in the path set by the FOUR sampler song "Fireproof," the short snippet of "Steal My Girl" shows a more adult side of One Direction, pulling in clear influences from the '80s, which long precede the birthdates of their most rabid fans. But, 1D fans should worry not... the song still feels very much like One Direction, thanks largely in part to the simplistic, sing-along melody and lyrics.
