Producer Mike WiLL Made It and Jay Z made gold with last year's "Beach Is Better," but the under a minute long cut left fans wanting more from the two. Well, wish granted. Mike WiLL says the two are making new music.
The Atlanta producer made the big reveal during a recent interview with HipHopDX.
"Me and Jay, it's nothing really specific," Mike WiLL said. "We just workin'. He's talented...He's a legend. He's a great. At the same time, I grew up listening to him and he's respecting the work that I'm putting out. I've been sending him tracks. He's been recording to them. He's been telling me to put some stuff to the side. We don't really know where it's gonna land. Really, we're just doing it for the art. Wherever it ends up landing, it ends up landing."
Interesting to hear Jay Z is recording new material. Word on web as of late is he and wife Beyoncé are working on a joint album. DJ Skee made the announcement on his newly-launched station, Dash Radio. He said he has more than one source to back up his claim.
"The biggest couple in music, maybe entertainment, maybe the world, they're working on an album together," Skee said. "You know who I'm talking about, Jay Z and Beyoncé. I have confirmed and talked with a couple sources. Now we all know what Jay Z did Samsung last year. We all know how Beyoncé came out of nowhere. But this secret would top all of them, even that new U2 album."
