Remember a few weeks ago when Sarah Palin's family grabbed headlines because of a fight that broke out during her husband Todd Palin's birthday party? Attendees of the bash have claimed that police were called after a fight that included about 20 people broke out and that Todd, Bristol and Track Palin were all involved in the physical brawl after someone took a verbal shot at Willow Palin. The family has stayed super quiet about the incident until Sarah took to Facebook to support her family.

"I have to say this as a proud mama: right up there with their work ethic and heart for those less fortunate, my kids' defense of family makes my heart soar! I love my Bristol! My straight-shooter is one of the strongest youngest women you'll ever meet."

During the blow out Bristol was reportedly throwing punches and sources say that alcohol was most definitely a factor in the fight. Sarah further went on to praise the family's diehard friends and supporters. It was also a little ironic to see her thanking her prayer warriors while showing no remorse for a physical altercation that many fans believed to be completely unacceptable in the first place.

Do you think that Sarah has handled this situation well by solidly standing by her family or should she have maybe owned up to their bad behavior? Sarah was once the Governor of Alaska and tries to keep her foot in politics so as a public figure should she have been held to a different standard? Tell us your thoughts on the Palins' brawl and how they have handled themselves after the fact in the comments below.
