If you've got tickets to see Journey before this year's end you may want to use them for something else – perhaps as a bookmark, a pseudo ruler or something along those lines – because as it turns out, the band actually isn't touring.

Yep, it's true! There's a Journey ticket scam going on, and it's been brought to light via a Facebook post from the band on their official page alongside the caption:

"Attention CAUTION fans. Someone is selling tickets that are phony and a rip off. WE ARE DONE WITH OUR TOUR... THIS IS NOT REAL."

Upon discovering the scam, the band immediately contacted their fans. Check out the Facebook post below:

So, why would someone pretend to sell Journey tickets? Well, who knows ... people are strange. But we do know that Ultimate Classic Rock has reported that the tickets are being promoted through Journeys Noise Tour, which is offering a package that includes "special guests" such as I Killed the Prom Queen, Ghosttown, Mormozets and Nightmares. As of this posting, none of the artists have come forth about having their material packaged as such.

Journey wrapped up their 2014 tour a couple of weeks ago in Memphis, TN. As of now, and probably up until the end of the year, there are no more dates on their site. But don't worry, you can always look out for next year.

Of course, should you have found yourself an unfortunate victim of getting bamboozled by the Journey tour scam, you may want to find another use for that ticket. Or, there's always just the garbage can.
