To follow Monday night's performance of "Wah Wah" by Beck on CONAN, music legend Paul Simon stopped by the Team Coco set last night pay tribute to George Harrison by doing a rendition of his oh, so popular "Here Comes The Sun."

Calling Simon a "towering figure" in American music, host Conan O'Brien introduced the singer-songwriter as the second of his 5-guest string this week in what he's calling George Harrison Week. As mentioned by Music Times, the week's event comes in order to promote the release of George Harrison: The Apple Years 1968-75, which is now available on CD and for digital download.

As imagined, Simon's version of "Here Comes The Sun" was simply stunning, and totally appropriate –– something we can only guess his friend would have loved. Check out the performance here:

Following his set, Simon sat with the talk show host for a brief one-on-one in which he discussed his late friend, admitting that he had actually performed the same song back in 1976 on Saturday Night Live alongside the Beatle.

"He was an extraordinary guy," Simon notes. "Not just as a musician, but very open, kind. ... A certain percentage of him [was] Beatles and then the rest, just regular, interested in life, interested in the world. It was a pleasure to hang out with him."

O'Brien recently had the chance to visit Harrison's house in London, which he claims still has "a lot of love." To that, Simon couldn't help but agree.
