The biggest news from the music video world during the last week has been Lady Gaga's official drop for "Applause," the first single from her forthcoming album "ARTPOP." The video, although full of zaniness and special effects, doesn't compare to the pop star's biggest productions. Speaking of which...

Remember 2009 hit "Telephone"? The four-minute single that Gaga stretched out into a nine-minute epic? That probably still takes the cake for the best of the star's music videos and some fans have held tight to the final clip, which featured the phrase "to be continued." The pop star discussed the sequel when speaking to Kiss FM yesterday, saying that the next part was "surely coming."

"I am very excited to be filming it and doing it," she said. "Working with Jonas Akerlund for 'Paparazzi' as well as the 'Telephone' video was such an incredible experience and to finish this trilogy will be great."

What song will provide the backdrop for the video remains a mystery, but she says herself and Akerlund have written the plot (if you will). One detail that she didn't address was whether Beyonce will appear in the sequel or not. But, if "Telephone" was the sequel to "Paparazzi," fans can probably expect the video to vary widely in themes from the previous videos.

"Telephone" featured a "Thelma & Louise"-style narrative, with Gaga and Beyonce busting out of prison and rampaging in the "Pussy Wagon" from the film "Kill Bill." They did not, however, drive the truck off of a canyon, leaving room for both characters to return.
