T.I. delivered an inspirational acceptance speech as he accepted the key to the City of Jackson, MS. Just last month, fellow rapper Rick Ross was honored with the key to Memphis.

On Wednesday, the Hustle Gang head honcho traveled to Jackson and gave a brief, yet motivational speech while accepting the honor from the city's mayor Tony Yarber.

"I can't really change everyone's opinion of me but I can change me," he said. "Everybody don't catch on and everybody don't acknowledge change at the same time but the good part is, I ain't doing it for them. I don't need credit. Just knowing that I can use my experiences, my past, good and bad, to help assist the future: children, teenagers, young adults and the grown people who may have gone through the same things. They can have an example showing that hey, just because I fell down in something, doesn't mean I got to stay down in it. When its all said and done, I've seen people rise from the wreckage."

According to Rap Radar, T.I. stopped by various schools and spoke on his criminal past and avoiding mistakes during his visit. Check out a clip from his speech below.

Last month, Rick Ross expanded his Wing Stop franchise in Memphis and received a special token of appreciation from the city.

"It is most definitely an exciting time for me and what I like to call the "Boss Wings" team when we open a new Wingstop," Ross said. "Not only is it growth for us, we know that it is also growth for the community, providing jobs, good food and a family environment for the people of that town. We definitely look forward to continuing to help grow the city of Memphis."

Ross was awarded the key at the grand opening of two renovated Wingstop restaurants.
