A rape charge from a recent, out-of-control Keith Urban concert has been dropped. Prosecutors in the case against 18-year-old Sean Murphy have dismissed the case after the 17-year-old girl, witnesses and an extensive investigation led to the conclusion that the sex at the show was consensual.

According to The Attleboro Sun Chronicle, the case came to a close after "extensive" conversations with those involved in the incident, including the unnamed teen.

"What we thought all along has been borne out. It was a consensual act," said defense lawyer Neil Crowley. "No crime was committed."

"We knew this was going to happen. Obviously the prosecution stepped up to the plate here," said Crowley's law partner Steven Brooks. "Thankfully people came forward and stepped up and said what they saw happened."

The rape charges against Murphy came after his 17-year-old partner told observers at the show that she had not consented to the sex. Murphy and the girl, who had not met before the Urban show at Boston's Xfinity Center, drunkenly engaged in sex on the venue's lawn while observers filmed the incident with cell phone cameras.

The incident occurred at the same concert where over 50 patrons were treated for alcohol-related injuries.

Urban briefly spoke out about the incident, issuing a statement against the abhorrent behavior. "My team and I were horrified to learn of the events reported in Boston this past weekend and our hearts and prayers go out to all those affected," he said. "This type of behavior stands in stark contrast to the spirit of our shows."
