Tinashe is gearing up for the release of her debut album Aquarius and the songstress has offered up a behind-the-scenes look at the new video for her A$AP Rocky-assisted "Pretend."

In the 2-minute clip, Tinashe and Rocky appear to be back in high school. Each in a relationship but eyeing one another, the two music makers are forced to pretend everything is good with their current flings.

Check out some behind-the-scenes footage, per 2 Dope Boyz, after the jump and look for the final video to surface soon.

"Pretend" serves as the second single from Tinashe's debut, which will be released Oct. 7.

According to HotNewHipHop, the album is set to feature production from Boi 1da and Stargate.

And if you're wondering what to expect, Tinashe described her sound during a recent interview with USA Today.

"My music is definitely rooted in a place of R&B, but it's an interesting take on it, because it has a lot of influence from different genres, from hip-hop to alternative to electronic," she explained. "I don't like to be stuck in the 'R&B box.'"

The album will be Tinashe's first major release since parting ways with girl group The Stunners.

"When I was in the group I never really had the opportunity to reach inside and express musically how I really feel. Plus, my music is a lot 'cooler' in my opinion than the music I was writing before for the pop group," Tinashe told Convozine when asked how she felt about going solo.
