Earlier this week, former Busta Rhymes affiliate Rah Digga spoke about the current state of female emcees in the rap game, noting Iggy Azalea.

"It's just not real to me," the Flipmode Squad member said. "Teach me Australian hip-hop culture. Don't come to America and try to convince me that you're Gangsta Boo. She's a beautiful girl. You know. Capitalize off of the super modeling thing. But we're not gonna believe you if you're out here trying to convince us that you're just trap shooting, street. I can't."

She went on to critique Azalea's debut album The New Classic.

"Personally, I don't consider her hip-hop," she added. "I listened to her album. Everything on there is everything but that."

Now, Azalea has taken to Twitter to address the diss. Her concern wasn't the fact that Rah Digga said she wasn't hip-hop enough, it was that the diss came from another woman in the industry.

"I honestly don't really mind if I'm described as rap or pop," she wrote. "My passion is purely making music and entertaining. It's definitely funny to see ppl getting so emotional over it all. What does it matter? music is music and many enjoy mine, no need to feel upset."

She then responded to Twitter follower @Listen2Kevin, who defended Azalea for writing her own verses.

"@Listen2Kevin end of the day i have a massive publishing deal based on the fact i write and collect checks which everyone seems to ignore," she added. "... especially ones who don't know me or anyone around me, its actually sad. crabs in a bucket syndrome."
