DJ Khaled feels that his label wronged him, but recouping lost profits might be harder than he thought.

According to Billboard, the lawsuit — filed in May — accuses eOne and Koch Entertainment "of failing to accurately account for royalties owed, as well as incorrectly characterizing and reporting the products it sold or licensed, and refusing to permit an audit of their accounting to determine exact losses."

But eOne filed a motion this week that claims its exempt from more of Khaled's allegations. Apparently, Khaled's contract might be keeping him from successfully bringing eOne down, as it could've included clauses to limit his auditing powers, among other things.

On top of that, the company alleges that it allowed an audit of its records in April, but that Khaled's accountant didn't show up.

DJ Khaled produced five noteworthy releases during the time in question:

  •  Listennn...the Album (2006)
  •  We the Best (2007)
  •  We Global (2008)
  •  DJ Khaled/E Class: Live from the 305 (2009)
  •  Victory (2010)

Four of these (excluding Live from the 305) peaked in the Top 14 of the Billboard 200 chart, and spawned hit singles such as "I'm So Hood," "We Takin' Over" and "Out Here Grindin'."

Khaled is also well-known for his long list of collaborators, which includes Kanye West, John Legend, Lil Wayne, T.I., Busta Rhymes, Drake, Chris Brown and dozens more.

In August, Khaled dropped the video for "They Don't Love You No More" featuring Remy Ma, and expressed his desire to sign the recently out-of-prison rapper to his We The Best imprint.

"Obviously, the first thing I told her was, 'I want you to be on 'We The Best.' I'm not hiding it, it ain't no secret," Khaled explained. "I'm on my job trying to sign her. It ain't been done but I've been trying... I told her, I would love to do the remix to "They Don't Love You No More" with you on it and put it out right away if you want to do it. She's like, 'Turn the mic on.' She did like one maybe two takes, went in the booth and just knocked it out. I can tell this girl has 'it' ... She's definitely bossed up even more."
