Slash is one of the most famous guitarists of all time, but he says he still takes lessons.

Who on earth is good enough to teach him? That would be Myles Kennedy, Slash's current singer.

"Myles teaches me stuff," Slash told Pulse of Radio. "Technically he's much more proficient than I am. He knows way more about all that stuff. There's been a few times where he's shown me licks, runs, arpeggios or scales and I'm like, 'What was that?'"

Kennedy was bashful in response.

"I'll show him a little thing he might like — something I've spent months perfecting to execute," Kennedy said. "Then I'll hear him play it that that night. He'll run through it once then he'll play it that night perfectly. He's a natural and he won't give himself credit for that."

The singer writes all the lyrics for Slash's solo songs, but he's influenced by the material the Guns N' Roses superstar comes up with.

"A lot of the songs that end up on the record stem from random conversations that Myles and I have had," Slash said. "So it's an interesting thing — I could very casually be talking to him about something that means something to me or vice versa, or both of us, and next thing you know, it becomes a lyric."

As previously reported, Slash also recently admitted that he has no idea what's going on in GnR's classic "November Rain" music video.

"Well, it was a concept," he said. "The song itself is pretty self-explanatory, but the video is so complex. And I remember when Axl [Rose] was writing it, it just became ... It was so epic, it was like a movie. And I, not being a huge fan of videos and making videos especially, I just showed up for my scenes. I'd write my own scene and this is what I want to do in my section. I never paid attention to the rest of the whole production. So at the end of the day, I never really knew ... I knew there was a wedding in there somewhere and I was not into the concept of the wedding."
