Nas' Time Is Illmatic will be screening nationwide for one night only but before the documentary's big premiere. Hennessy has offered up a look at the makings of the film.
In the nearly 4-minute clip, producer Erik Parker and director One9 share their experience putting the film together and the importance of working on the project. They also share their surprise once they received Nas' support.
As reported by XXL, the film premiered at the TriBeCa Film Festival ahead of the 20th anniversary of Esco's iconic debut this past April. Check out the trailer below.
On Oct. 2, the documentary, which details the life and times of the Queens rapper, will screen across 40 theaters countrywide.
