Rapper Childish Gambino already dropped a brand new mixtape today (STN MTN), but before he unleashes his new EP KAUAI upon the world (which should be coming any minute now, really), he’s hyping it up by sharing one of the tracks through SoundCloud, “The Palisades.” The Christian Rich-produced track has a funky, sunny vibe and is pretty heavy on the singing, though Gambino does drop a quick verse before the end of the track.

KAUAI will be Childish Gambino’s first EP since 2011’s appropriately titled EP. His most recent studio album was Because The Internet, which was released back in Dec. 2013 and spawned four singles: “3005,” “Crawl,” “Sweatpants,” and “Telegraph Ave.”
In an interview with Complex, Childish Gambino revealed that the proceeds from purchases of KAUAI go towards keeping the Hawaiian island of Kauai clean, so that's a pretty good incentive to buy it instead of just downloading it, in case you were on the fence about it.
