DJ Mustard recently stopped by Snoop Dogg's GGN YouTube show and during the interview, Uncle Snoop called the young beat maker and frequent collaborator YG the "new pioneers of West Coast hip-hop." Snoop also announced that he and Mustard would be working on a joint album.

While discussing his relationship with YG and how they came to work together, Mustard revealed that the two communicated through a mutual friend and did a mixtape together without ever meeting.

"I was doing the drops and stuff," he explained. "He got it and he just started flooding the streets with it. I didn't know he was going to do all of that."

Snoop interjected saying, "He got hot!" As he would say, it was history from there as he went on to pass the baton to his younger counterpart.

"Y'all the new pioneers of the generation of hip-hop right now for the West Coast, you and YG," he said. "That's y'all sound. It's dope. I love it. I love it, I hear your name on everybody record and how everybody from R&B to hip-hop is getting at you."

DJ Mustard also discussed working on his album and even attempted to name all of the songs he's produced.

"Like the intro and stuff like that I wanted to go real G-Funk," he said of the inspiration behind his album. "From the intro to like the fifth song, all L.A. You gone know this is L.A. You gone feel like you going down Crenshaw...wherever you at, you gone feel like this is where you're supposed to be at when you hear that."

Not sure how serious these two are but they also chatted about a joint album Hot Dogg Wit Mustard.
