Just a few short weeks after Hillary Clinton's biggest wish of becoming a grandmother was granted, it seems all attention has turned back toward the possibility of her making a run for the White House in the 2016 presidential election. In fact, in just a few short weeks Clinton will be in Los Angeles for a splashy fundraiser. Jefferey Katzenberg and Casey Wasserman will co-host the Brentwood event Oct. 20 at Tavern. The Secret Service will stand guard as the former U.S. secretary of state will be headlining the event that has a $32,400 ticket attached to it.

This fundraiser will serve as the first big push for the midterm elections, and it will help put Clinton in the kind of position she needs to hold if she announces her 2016 run. Clinton's name was also on the tip of billionaire Warren Buffett's lips at Fortune's Most Powerful Women Summit today, declaring that she will not only run, but also win the 2016 election.

No official announcement has been made as to what Clinton's next aspirations include, but her team has confirmed an announcement one way or another will come after New Year's Day 2015.

Buffett further claimed that throwing her hat into the ring late in the election game will not hurt Clinton in the least. Truthfully, it will probably be more surprising if she decides not to run in favor of spending her time doting on baby Charlotte, Chelsea Clinton's newborn daughter.

If anything, most sources seem to think that working to ensure her granddaughter's future will likely light a new fire under Clinton to announce her candidacy.

Do you think Clinton has been carefully connecting the political dots for the last year so that by New Year's Day she is in a position to run for president? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below.
