In the most recent jump from acting to music, actress Lucy Hale of ABC hit "Pretty Little Liars" is working on a country album. She's been working in Nashville with producer Mark Bright, best known for his work with Carrie Underwood.

Hale, 24, was born in Memphis, TN and said she grew up listening to country songstresses such as Faith Hill and Martina McBride, so that might give eager fans a hint at what to expect when the album drops (no release date has been given yet).

"Music is my heart and I'm so blessed to say that this album turned out to be something I'm very proud of," said Lucy in a statement. "I'm unbelievably excited to hit the road this fall to meet country radio and share what I've been working on."

It was somewhat misleading of us to suggest that Hale is jumping from acting to music, because her career path has been the exact opposite. Hale appeared on the reality television show "American Juniors," which resulted in a pop group of the same name. The group released its second and final album (with the same name "American Juniors") in 2004 when Hale was 15. She also sang four tracks on the soundtrack to Disney's "A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song" during 2011.

Hale is the only member of the "Pretty Little Liars" cast that has released or been featured on an album, although Tyler Blackburn and Janel Parrish have also recorded songs for other film and television projects.
