Fans of AMC's The Walking Dead are beyond excited to have their favorite series return tonight with the premiere of Season 5. The network is teasing that the episode is extremely violent and hits a real emotional cord all in the same hour. Star Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie Greene, recently did an interview with Sirius XM ahead of the premiere and admitted that there are moments that even she couldn't watch onscreen from this first episode of the new season.

"I feel like this is our best episode of the show yet. It took me on such a journey, which is so funny because I was there when we made it and I was still so floored. I felt so much trepidation and then such excitement about the strength of the group. It's been really exciting the levels we can take the show too now. It's been like feature films every time, but this time it's just a bigger and much deeper, darker expensive movie. I'm not able to actually watch most of it. Fans of the comic, there are going to be a couple of moments that scare you more than anything. I won't say too much about that. But that was one of the most tense moments in there. You'll know what I mean."

Cohan's character returns to the group after being separated last season and she says to expect a real change in Maggie. She has already lost everything once so she has both a new inner fire to survive meshed with a weird calm understanding that things aren't fully in her hands.
