Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have a musical history spanning 25 years, and their back catalog is about to receive a vinyl makeover starting later this month.

There will be fourteen albums total reissued as vinyl LPs, but the group is going to take their time with it, offering seven in 2014. The remaining seven will be available in early 2015, Clash reports. Bad Seeds co-founder Mick Harvey is overseeing the project, which will stretch from 1984's From Her to Eternity to 2008's Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! (see release schedule below). "The Bad Seeds catalogue is a precious piece of rock history. We are determined to deliver a set of reissues which genuinely pay tribute to a seminal band," Didier Dehauteur, director of masters and product management at BMG, the parent company of NC&BS's Mute label, said.

Cave and company's most recent release, Push the Sky Away, will not be included in the reissue project.

A documentary centered around Cave titled 20,000 Days on Earth premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January and was released last month. "Instead of revealing the private life of a public icon, 20,000 Days magnifies Cave's mythology into something stranger - and more elemental," Rolling Stone wrote. "Being on stage meant I got to be that person I always wanted to be," Cave says at one point in the film. "Then, you look down into the front row, and someone yawns."

Cave wrote the screenplays for 2005's The Proposition and 2012's Lawless.
