iLoveMakonnen is one step closer to world domination thanks to his new "Tuesday (Remix)" music video with Drake, which features several of Mak's favorite mannequins.

The off-beat artist has pretty much made Tuesday the best day of the week, and now we have clear video evidence.

It's been a long, strange road to stardom for Makonnen.

A couple years ago, he was on house arrest for manslaughter. Pitchfork sat down with him recently to hash out the details:

The story goes like this: During a tense argument, his best friend pulled out a gun and began waving it around. Tensions died down, and the friend laid the gun on his lap. Then, just before the two were about to smoke pot, Sheran attempted to move the gun out of sight-instead, it fell from the friend's lap and went off, striking him in the head and killing him instantly.

Mak is a quirky dude — remember: the mannequins — and he gave a perfect response when asked why he doesn't drop the "iLove" in his artist name.

"Yeah, they tell me to drop the 'iLove' every day because they're haters," he said. "They don't want self-love, but that's what I'm always going to stand by, because when I was going through my [house arrest] situation, everybody hated me. Nobody loved Makonnen but me and my moms and the other people in my family, if they really gave a s---. I just had to start loving myself because if I started believing the negativity, it would've crushed me. I would've been hating myself and it would have drove me to suicide, because my best friend died and everybody's blaming me for his death. I had nobody to cope with, because the person I usually coped with was dead. I was very depressed and very angry and I just had to bring myself out of all of that. So: iLoveMakonnen."
