Australian hip-hop fans will get a treat as Drake will go on tour in the smallest of continents and, according to Billboard, it will be his first stop ever in the land down under. He'll be the primary headliner for the Future Music Festival. Among the other acts included on the bill will be Avicii, The Prodigy and 2 Chainz

The site made sure to emphasize the hiring of James Klein, the promoter behind events such as the Ultra Music Festival, so if your at all familiar with that event's bombast, you'll have an idea for what's in store at Future Music. Indeed, the lineup does seem to put some emphasis one electronic dance music. Avicii, Afrojack and Martin Garrix are listed among the major acts. Even the biggest "rock" act of the show, The Prodigy, comes from a Big Beat background.

All eyes have to be on Avicii at this point and whether he'll be able to get down to the festival. He's recently cancelled the rest of his tour dates for 2014 due to exhaustion and other health issues, a trend that really got rolling last year when he took part in the Future Music Festival. He was forced to cancel his appearances after being hospitalized for stomach problems. Chainz wasn't a part of last year's Future Fest but he had travel problems with Australia nonetheless. Due to a marijuana charge that was later wiped clean, the rapper found himself unable to enter the country for his own tour. We presume he's done his due diligence in preparing for next year's event.

Future Music Festival is a five-date event that will kick off in February next year. Check out the dates below:
