Let's recap, shall we?

Michelle Simms, a once talented and ambitious ballerina, finds herself dancing as a Las Vegas showgirl. With no big break in sight, she marries a quirky, but persistent suitor, Hubbell Flowers, and moves with him to the sleepy beach hamlet of Paradise, California. After Hubbell dies suddenly in a car crash, Michelle begins to find her true calling as a dancer--teaching alongside her brand new mother-in-law, Fanny, at Paradise's school for aspiring "bunheads."

ABC Family's Bunheads is the latest series from Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino. And just like Lorelei and Rory Gilmore, there's a strong female-to-female relationship between Michelle (the adorable, effervescent Sutton Foster) and Fanny (played by Lorelei Gilmore's own mother, Emily Bishop). As per the Sherman-Palladino style, the writing here is fast-paced and rife with pop culture allusions. The supporting cast, relatively unknowns before, are just starting to shine, as well.

Alas, it's time for the past tense now because Bunheads got cancelled.

And that's what made their YouTube farewell--expertly choreographed to Sir Elton John's "Blues for Baby and Me"--so endearing.

Let us not shed a tear, however, as Classicalite knows Emma Dumont, Kaitlyn Jenkins, Bailey Buntain, Julia Goldani Telles and, of course, Sutton Foster will keep on dancing, indeed.
