Is the recent rash of attempted intruders at the White House a new thing, or are we just hearing about it when in the past it might have been kept under wraps? Either way, on Wednesday night, Oct. 22, 23-year-old Dominic Adesanya of Maryland was quickly apprehended after the K-9 unit took him down on the White House lawn. Adesanya was taken into custody after suffering several dog bites and a string of charges were filed against him for hopping the fence.

Adesanya tried to fight off two K-9 dogs named Hurricane and Jordanwhich led to him being charged with two counts of assault on a police officer. Add to that one count of making threats and four counts of resisting arrest and unlawful entry and what you get is a string of felonies that will likely bring Adesanya some serious jail time. He was unarmed when he hopped the fence, and this instance of intrusion ended quicker than the last one.

Back in September, Omar Gonzalez scaled the fence and made it deep inside the White House before finally being apprehended. That incident ultimately led to the resignation of Secret Service Director Julia Pierson. At least this latest incident ended fairly quickly and the Secret Service is probably thrilled that video of the altercation is making the rounds, because it shows that this time they were not sleeping on the job.

In it you can see both K-9 dogs being kicked by Adesanya, but both are said to be OK and have been cleared to return to work. Watch it below.

Do you think the Secret Service is collectively working together to make sure serious security breaches such as this one end quickly? Obviously that is their job, but the organization itself admits to falling down on the job quite often recently. Comment below.
