Lady Gaga is one of music's biggest supporters of the LGBT community, and during her Tuesday show, Oct. 21, in Manchester, the singer became part of the audience as everyone in attendance watched two gay men get engaged.

Gaga introduced Jay as an "incredible friend" and said she considers him part of her family, The Huffington Post reported. The singer stepped back from the pair and Jay proposed to his boyfriend in front of a frantic crowd. Mother Monster rushed over to the couple and held them for an emotional embrace.

After the proposal, Gaga went to her piano and offered to sing the pair a song before they were escorted off stage.

"My record label, a long time ago, they told me that my show is 'too gay' and I was 'too gay' or this was 'too gay,'" she said. "I told them, 'Well, it's a great thing that there are gay people all over the world!' Real human beings with real dreams and real stories and you deserve to love and express your love the same as everybody around the world."

The singer then launched into a piano-driven version of her 2011 hit "Born This Way" with the entire arena singing along. Check it out below.

The stop was part of Gaga's ongoing artRave: The ARTPOP Ball Tour, which wraps up next month.

Gaga recently released an album of duets with Tony Bennett titled Cheek to Cheek. The pair sing standards from the jazz era on the record.

"Gaga definitely needed Bennett more than he needed her, but both will benefit from this pairing," Billboard wrote. "By all accounts, they had a blast working together, so coming in, it's best to leave all cynicism with the coat-check girl."

On Friday, Oct. 24, the two artists will appear on the PBS special Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga: Cheek to Cheek: Live!
