We didn't think T.I. would be leaving the mainstream anytime soon, but a new deal with Sony/ATV Music — the world's biggest music publisher — makes sure he'll be in the spotlight for years to come.

According to AllHipHop, the deal will cover all of Tip's future recordings, as well as his writing share of Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines," the most downloaded song of 2013.

"T.I. is an all-round talent and we are thrilled to be working with him at Sony/ATV," said Sony/ATV's chairman and CEO Martin Bandier. "He already has an extensive catalog of hit songs and albums behind him and there is plenty more to come, starting with his new album."

The Atlanta rapper was equally pleased.

"I'm excited about this partnership and am looking forward to the opportunities that will come of this new venture," he said. "Sony/ATV is a world renowned entity and I'm honored to be a part of this family and to be allowed to contribute to its legacy."

Mr. Harris recently sat down with The Breakfast Club to touch on a myriad of topics, including... "Hey, T.I., why isn't there any trap music on your new album, Paperwork?"

"It's called evolution," he said. "At some point you have to grow. Even if you make em, you gotta go somewhere. On my ninth album, if I approach it like trying to recreate my second album, I could've been done at my second album. At the point where I run out of stuff to say, and I'm continuing to regurgitate things ...when you have learned everything there is to know about an artist or a person, then there's no reason to come back. What are you coming back for if you've already learned it all?"

He also touched on his mentee, Izzy Azalea, who has been a bit too sensitive to criticism.

"She's passionate about everything she does. I think that's a part of what makes people love her and allows her to put so much effort and energy into her art and how it comes across authentic and kind of .. you know, she cares. If an artist doesn't care, it shows. But that's lil sis man. Her future is definitely brighter than her past."
