Something strange is going on over at Cash Money Records. Jay Sean has decided to leave the label on the heels of drama with Tyga and Busta Rhymes's departure months prior. Mystikal has also expressed his dismay, saying his deal with the label is "not gonna work."

According to XXL, the British singer decided to leave the label after six years and three album releases. Unlike the ongoing feud with Tyga, Sean says his split was amicable.

"I had and still maintain a great relationship with Slim and Baby," he said. "They believed in me and my talent and our partnership obviously garnered a lot of pop success."

He explained his decision a little more in depth, and it sounds like he is looking to take his career in a different direction.

"It got to the point where I was chasing pop success and 'the smash' when really my heart wasn't in it anymore," he said. "That's not why I got into this game."

Jay Sean is slated to release a new mixtape titled Mistress II in November.

Tyga first aired out his differences with YMCMB on Twitter earlier this month.

"Gold album been done," he tweeted. "My label holding me hostage so I can't release nothing. Might just leak it for my fans then let them make $ off it."

Prior to Tyga blasting the label, Busta Rhymes announced he would be leaving and Mystikal shared similar sentiments.

As previously reported, Busta cited creative differences for his departure from the label:

"I was there for two years and the opportunity was a great opportunity at the time, because of the type of deal that was done," Busta explained. "For me, with this particular project and all of the sacrifice that went into it — recording the album for five years, I [lost] Chris Lighty making this album, I [lost] my father making this album — the s--t I was putting into this album, I'm not compromising my vision for it."

Mystikal shared his discontent with his current deal in August.

"I don't really fit the mold of the situation I'm in," he explained. "I'm different, man. I have to be able to be the artist that I am. If I can't do that, then it's not gonna work for me."
