R&B star August Alsina has shared the music video for his latest single “Grindin,” his first new song in six months, and the first we have heard from the New Orleans singer since he collapsed on stage six weeks ago in New York and fell into a coma due to exhausation and dehydration.
In the Payne Lindsey-directed clip, Alsina sings the song in the middle of a dark forest, addressing his recent health issues.
“When I took a little fall you was steppin’ on a n---a,” he sings, referencing his collapse and his haters in the same breath.

Though Alsina’s health problems forced him to cancel the remainder of his tour, he will be joining Usher on his UR Experience tour, which kicks off in Montreal Nov. 1 and concludes in Tampa, Florida, Dec. 14.
