Cincinnati indie rock quartet Walk the Moon has announced a new album titled Talking Is Hard, set for release Dec. 2 through RCA Records, radio.com reports. The album, produced by Tim Pagnotta (Neon Trees) and mixed by Neal Avron (Weezer), will be Walk the Moon's sophomore release, following their self-titled 2012 debut.

"We wanted to come out with something that was in-your-face and staying true to our quirky indie rock pop selves," singer Nicholas Petricca tells radio.com, "But we really explored the far corners of Walk the Moon on this record. We pretty much tried everything. We tried playing super hard and weird and dreamy and soft, everything. So the album is a lot more ferocious, and then a lot more tender in some moments."

The band also took to its Twitter account to reveal the album's release date, which you can check out here:

The album's lead single, "Shut Up and Dance," was released last month and performed on Late Night with Seth Meyers, which helped the song hit the No. 1 spot on Spotify's viral Top 50 U.S. chart.
