Trance super-trio Above & Beyond — Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamäki — stopped by with Google two weeks ago before their sold-out Madison Square Garden performance Oct. 18 to have a chat with Google and some lucky fans. They talked about their upcoming artist album, We Are All We Need, their performance at MSG — a first for British DJs — Burning Man, ABGT 100 and more.

According to Dancing Astronaut, They touched on a whole range of topics, not just the album and the live show, over the span of the 38-minute chat at Google headquarters in New York City.

Paavo, the tech-geek of the group, went over how he created the now-famous live typing on the LED screen at a show by coding it himself and contacting CDJ-maker Pioneer to get the resolution high enough so it would look good.

Speaking on the theme of the album, Tony remarked that it is "about a sense of togetherness."

This fits with how they have grown into the stars they are, creating an incredibly strong and faithful community surrounding them and their music that does not always look to the trends of the mainstream. They spoke about how they chose their singers by looking outside those who have not had a few hits and were not necessarily part of the traditional dance music scene.

At a place that bucks the trend, Paavo spoke on their performance at the eclectic arts and music festival, Burning Man.

"I was really touched. People were doing really cool things for each other, and hopefully one day the world will be like Burning Man," Tony added. "There would be a lot more nudity as well."

The trio have announced limited tour dates in the U.K. and the U.S. early next year in support of We Are All We Need.

So head to their website to grab tickets and pre-order the album, slated for release Jan. 20.
