Ever since the tragic death of Paul Walker in a car accident Nov. 30, 2013, fans have wondered what Fast & Furious 7, part of the movie series that created the now-deceased star's fame, would look like. We now have that first look in an action-packed, 2-minute-21-second trailer that features prominently Walker and the full cast of characters, including Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Ludacris and more. Always looking to push the envelope, FF7 continues that trend by choosing Dillon Francis and DJ Snake's collaboration "Get Low."

Slated for release April 3, 2015, Fast & Furious 7 has the potential to be one of the major blockbusters of next year. With an all-star cast, excellent effects and the legacy effect of Walker, it would be surprising to see this do poorly in theaters.

According to via YourEDM, on the heels of the debut of his album Money Sucks, Friends Rule, Francis scores another win for his musical career. The album features the likes of Martin Garrix, Simon Lord, Major Lazer and Twista, as well as the aforementioned "Get Low" alongside Frenchman DJ Snake.

Signed to Columbia Records, this is an example of why more DJs are using the muscle of the majors to their advantage in a genre that has traditionally stayed niche and out of the spotlight. But now with the whole music community paying attention and the majors willing to play ball, DJs are licensing and signing their albums to big labels and using that to their advantage, playing performances on morning and late-night shows and getting their tracks licensed for sports broadcasts, TV shows and movies.

EDM has become pretty well-engrained in popular culture in the United States, but this is just one more step being taken as the barrier to TV and film starts to crumble for DJs and producers. It will be interesting to see what the rest of the soundtrack looks like. Will it have more EDM, or will it go with more pop, rock and hip-hop? We will see when the soundtrack is released and the movie comes out.
