Pennsylvania rockers The Districts have announced the release of their debut album on Fat Possum Records. Titled A Flourish And A Spoil, the effort is due out February 10 and features production from John Congleton (St. Vincent, The Walkmen, Angel Olsen). The record will serve as the follow-up to the band's self-titled debut EP, which they released in January. In support of the upcoming album, the band has shared the lead single "4th and Roebling."

According to The Fader, the song is named after the intersection where they parked their van in Brooklyn on their inaugural trip to play a New York gig.

The blues-meets-garage track sounds like a mix between the Arctic Monkeys and The Strokes.

"I ain't the same anymore; I ain't same from before," frontman Rob Grote sings. "You've gone and changed I'm sure, trying to find the right words."

The Districts' drummer Braden Lawrence spoke to Music Times back in September about the upcoming release.

"It's is going to have more of our live energy and a more evolved sound from Telephone, [the first LP]" he told us. "Most of the songs were written before the [band started] touring and stuff. A lot of it is just about graduating high school and moving and dealing with all that stuff, relationships and things like that."

A Flourish and A Spoil is available for pre-order at Rough Trade in limited edition (only 300 pressed) purple vinyl.
