Several months ago, mommy blogger Jillian Meredith McCabe launched a crowdfunding campaign to help her take care of her family, which included her 6-year-old autistic son London McCabe and her husband Matt. Matt McCabe was recently diagnosed with MS and a mass in his brain stem leaving him not only unable to work but unsure if he would recover at all. The family was apart for awhile, but just last month they were back together in time for London's final birthday. On Monday, Nov. 3, Jillian called police after throwing London off a 100-foot historic bridge in Oregon.

A little after 6 p.m. last night, Jillian reportedly called 911 and told the emergency dispatcher, "I just threw my son over the Yaquina Bay Bridge."

She then stayed on the phone until two police officers arrived. A Lincoln County Sheriff's deputy said in an affidavit that upon being the first to arrive, he found McCabe's vehicle parked at the north end of the bridge and she was holding her cellphone. Jillian then reportedly told them she had listened to the "voices" that told her to throw her son off the bridge.

It is unlikely to survive a fall from the Yaquina Bridge, and if London somehow had miraculously done so, then he still would have probably only lasted another 20 minutes in the frigid waters. Newport police confirm his body was found near a marina about four hours after his mother placed the 911 call.

Jillian was arrested on charges of aggravated murder, murder and first-degree manslaughter. She is currently being held at Lincoln County Jail on $750,000 bail.

Police are actively continuing to investigate this case and are asking anyone who may have seen Jillian on the bridge with London to please contact them immediately.
