Kelly Rowland has given birth to a baby boy with newlywed husband Tim Weatherspoon. The former Destiny's Child member welcomed son Titan Jewell Weatherspoon into the world on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. PT, weighing in at 7.5 pounds.
"We are thrilled to announce that today we are the proud parents of our first son," Rowland said in a statement. "We are blessed to report everyone is healthy and happy!" People was first to report the news.
Leading up to the birth, Rowland shared details on her pregnancy with E! News.
"It's mind-boggling. It's pretty amazing," Rowland told them back in September. "Of course you know there's life before that growing inside of you but then when you actually start feeling these different things happening-the flutters, and kicks and punches-I'm at a loss for words."
As the day grew closer she told them, "It's getting to the time where I'm getting a bit antsy and I would really, really love to see the baby's face. I can't wait."
As People reports, Rowland confirmed the news that she was expecting a son and dropped hints about his name, saying that her husband picked it out and that it had to do with the family.
Last month, Rowland bared her pregnant belly in a series of nude shots.
"I took a birthing class and I was amazed by all the things this woman was saying to me about birthing and what the body does naturally. Why wouldn't you want to celebrate that?" she told Elle.
