It has been a little while since Fifty Shades of Grey has generated good press, so the powers-that-be decided to drop a little teaser clip today that's bound to make people forget that there could be anything at all wrong with this film. Jamie Dornan may not have been your first choice to play Mr. Christian Grey but they certainly do know how to set the tone and make him smolder on camera — probably without even trying. This clip includes Dornan's muscles, Grey's tie rack, and then his extended hand as if he's inviting us to come along for the ride. That's it — and it works.
A few weeks ago Dornan and Dakota Johnson (who plays Anastasia Steele) were spotted back in Vancouver shooting some extra scenes or the film. While producers claimed that they just wanted some extra footage to fill in some spots other insiders said that Johnson was like a "dishrag" on camera and chemistry between the two actors was lacking. That chemistry needs to be totally there or not only will this film bomb, but the other two in the trilogy will never make it to the big screen.
What are your thoughts on the film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey so far, based on everything that you have seen and heard? Do you think that Dornan and Johnson will have enough chemistry together? Is there any way that they'll be able to pull off the content of this movie and still get even an NC-17 rating? There's a very fine line that everyone involved has to walk. If it's not hot enough then it won't work but if it's too close to the book then it might chase some moviegoers away.
