Myles Kennedy, Slash and Biffy Clyro's Simon Neil tore through Ozzy Osbourne's 1980 hit "Crazy Train" over the weekend at the MTV European Music Awards. Osbourne was there to receive the Global Icon Award, which has been given to such artists as Eminem, Queen and Whitney Houston in the past.

Kennedy's vocals were a perfect fit for the Blizzard of Ozz standout, and Slash is always up to the challenge of recreating rock standards. Osbourne, with wife Sharon, looks to be blown away in the video below, and he even seems to get a little emotional as the performance rages on. It's an all-out celebration in front of a stained glass portrait of the Black Sabbath frontman. And what would an Ozzy tribute be without a little fire?

"Aside from being one of the mavericks of heavy metal he's also one of the greatest entertainers and performers I've ever seen," the former Guns N' Roses guitarist told MTV before the show. "He has amazing control over his audience. It's actually stunning to be close, at the side of the stage and actually watch the command over his audience so yeah, it's pretty intense."

The past few months have been very Ozzy-centric, with the singer's compilation of solo work, Memoirs of a Madman, hitting retailers in October and the news of a final Black Sabbath album/tour in the works. As if that wasn't enough excitement already, Sharon recently said that the family's beloved reality show, The Osbournes, is coming back for eight more episodes.

Slash and Kennedy dropped their most recent work, World on Fire, in September.
