Although his upcoming album The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty was originally set for release Nov. 18, Tyga's recent troubles with his label Young Money have caused the album's release to be delayed. But the 24-year-old rapper took to his Twitter account today, Nov. 12, to confirm the album's new release date: Dec. 23.

Back in October, Tyga went on a Twitter rant to assure his fans that The Gold Album was finished but that Young Money was holding the rapper "hostage."

This was not the first time Tyga voiced his dissatisfaction with his label. In a 2013 Breakfast Club interview, he revealed that he "never got a check from Young Money or Cash Money."

"I got a siging bonus when I first signed, but that was it," he admitted. "I've always treated my career as independent, and everything that I've got is because of myself, my own endorsements."

The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty will be Tyga's fourth studio album overall, his first since 2013's Hotel California. Four singles have been released so far from The Gold Album: "Wait for a Minute" featuring Justin Bieber, "Hookah" featuring Young Thug, "Real Deal" and "40 Mill."

Just yesterday, Tyga announced that he would be joining Chris Brown and Trey Songz on their "Between the Sheets" tour, which kicks off in January. You can check out the complete tour dates by clicking here.
