Jamie-Lynn Sigler and her family are grieving the loss of her oldest brother. Adam Sigler suffered a brain hemorrhage in the last few days and was reportedly in a coma for awhile before finally passing away on Wednesday. The 42-year old stockbroker was apparently in good health and he fell ill with no advance warning at all.
According to an Us Weekly report, Adam was also engaged at the time of his death.
"Adam was always so happy and inspired Jamie to be a better person every day. She loved him dearly and will miss him more than anyone can ever imagine. The family was with him every second he was in a coma and was surrounded by his entire family when he passed. He was such a funny, amazing man. He was an incredible uncle who was loved by all his friends and family. He will be greatly missed." said the magazine's source.
Jamie-Lynn is said to be devastated by the unexpected loss of her brother who was a huge influence on the "Sopranos" star. It was Jamie-Lynn's good friend, Lance Bass, who first tipped fans off to the idea that there was a medical crisis. He tweeted last weekend asking everyone to keep the Sigler's in their prayers because Adam had suffered a brain hemorrhage.
No further details have been given at this point in time but this is one of those sad stories that really makes you think. The fact that Adam was young and appeared to be in great health no doubt, makes the weight of his death that much harder to believe for his family.
