Sam Hunt will hit the road in January on his first headlining tour and if you haven't gotten tickets yet you're probably out of luck. The country star sold out 15 markets in a matter of minutes, immediately making his headlining debut a success months in advance. Hunt will be touring behind his debut album, Montevallo.

The tour will kick off in West Hollywood, CA, on Jan. 29 and wrap up in Milwaukee on April 4. Tickets for his Lipstick Graffiti Tour went quickly after the artist announced the trek last week, Taste of Country reports. Check out the dates here (venues will be released later).

Hunt's big hit from his first album, "Leave the Night On," went straight to the top of the charts, and the follow-up single, "Take Your Time," will be out Nov. 24. His influences range from Usher to Kenny Chesney, who scored a number one hit with the Hunt-penned "Come Over."

"I do think I'm country," Hunt told Rolling Stone Country, "but your definition of that word might be different from my definition. In my opinion, country music, the sound of country, has always evolved. But the one thing that has not changed is the story element. And I think country songs are truthful songs about life written by country people."

Hunt broke into the genre as a songwriter, penning tunes for Billy Currington and Keith Urban. "I was very new to songwriting, according to the Nashville paradigm," Hunt said. "I experimented and explored ways to find my own niche in Nashville, and I was having trouble with it for a while because stylistically I didn't feel like I necessarily fit in."

Native Run and Michael Ray will open for Hunt on the upcoming tour.
